Notice of Bereavement Support Group
This is a new support group for those in the community who are grieving the loss of a loved one and all are welcome to participate. A bereavement group can be very helpful as we journey through our grief. It's good to know that we are not alone, and that others can understand our pain and challenges. Also, tools to guide and support us will be discussed. Members are invited to share their stories as they wish, in their own time. All sharing will be confidential. The group will be held on the first and third Thursdays of the month, beginning October 1st and ending on the third week of January. from 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, located at the corner of Nojoqui Ave. and Alamo Pintado, in Los Olivos, in the Parlor meeting room off of the center courtyard. There is no fee charged to attend. This group will be led by Susan Plummer, MSW, PhD. Susan has facilitated many bereavement groups as a hospice director and through her private practice.
The group is open to people of all faiths and religious backgrounds as s love offering to the Santa Ynez Valley Community. For more info, or to register, contact
