1 Seriously Injured In 5-Car Crash On Highway 1 In Santa Cruz County
One of the people involved suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital, according to the Highway Patrol.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A five-car crash on state Highway 1 in Santa Cruz County on Saturday left one person with major injuries, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash occurred near Rio Del Mar, on northbound Highway 1, south of Freedom Boulevard, the CHP said on social media.

In another crash, near Aptos, a solo driver collided with a barrier on southbound Highway 1 at State Park Drive.
An officer in the first phase of field training used his patrol vehicle to push bumpers to clear the roadway, the CHP said.
