Shooting Wounds 1 In Santa Cruz, Police Seek Public's Help

SANTA CRUZ, CA — A man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday, and the Santa Cruz Police Department is hoping the public can provide tips that lead to an arrest.

The shooting was reported in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue around 11:19 p.m. A man was found outside the downtown area suffering from a single gunshot wound that was non-life threatening, according to police.

Everyone involved in the incident fled the area, but officers did track down evidence and witnesses, police said. As of Wednesday morning, no arrests had been made.

The Santa Cruz Police Investigations Section asks anyone who has a home or business surveillance system within the area to check video footage to see if they captured anything that might assist in the case.
