17 Arrested, 57 Citations Issued In Santa Cruz Halloween Night

One person was found to be in possession of a concealed gun with altered identification, police said.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Seventeen people were arrested and 57 tickets were issued during the Halloween festivities in Santa Cruz, police officials said. About 6,000 revelers gathered in downtown Santa Cruz Wednesday to celebrate. Police in Santa Cruz were joined by officers from nearby agencies to provide extra enforcement.

Jimi Carrozzo, a 34-year-old transient, was among those arrested for suspicion of public intoxication. Carrozzo was allegedly in possession of a concealed weapon with an altered identification at the time of his arrest.
