2 Earthquakes Rattle Santa Cruz County
BREAKING: The first temblor was reported at 3:21 p.m.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Two small earthquakes with preliminary magnitudes of 3.0 and 3.1 struck near Interlaken in southern Santa Cruz County this afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The first, smaller quake was reported at 3:21 p.m. The second, slightly larger earthquake struck 11 minutes later.
The quakes were felt in Watsonville, Gilroy, and Aptos and as far away as San Martin. No injuries were reported as a result of the quakes.
