2 Santa Cruz County CVS Stores Launch Coronavirus Testing Program

Anyone age 12 or older is eligible for testing, at no cost to the patient.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — CVS Health will open two coronavirus testing sites in Santa Cruz County on Friday.

The pharmacies at 1750 41st Ave. in Capitola and 490 Rodriguez St. in Watsonville will provide testing to anyone age 12 or older, at no cost, CVS Health said in a news release.

The company said it has administered more than three million tests across 2,000 sites since March, though these are the first Santa Cruz County locations opening.

Patients with insurance will have their insurance billed and patients without insurance will have their costs covered by a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services program. Patients 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Signs will be set up at the pharmacy to direct patients who have arrived for testing.
