4-H Spring Fair

Santa Cruz County 4-H Spring Fair and Day on the Farm: come for a day of fun with your entire family!

Ever wished the county fair came around more than once a year? The cute animals, the interesting exhibits, the fun activities? Well, now it does! Along with Day on the Farm on May 9 from 10:00 to 4:00, Santa Cruz County 4-H will be holding their annual Spring Fair at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, 2601 East Lake Avenue, Watsonville. Although it will be smaller than the county fair held in September, visitors will have far less expenses and just as much fun. Entry to Day on the Farm and the Spring Fair is only $2 (free for 4-H members wearing their 4-H gear). Also, as 4-H relies entirely on volunteers and is non-profit, donations may be requested for some activities to cover costs.

4-Hers will show off some of their small animals in showmanship classes and as exhibits for visitors to feed, pet, and enjoy. There will also be presentations and activities including container gardens for Mothers’ Day, recycled sewing, rocket info and launching, chain maille, and other fun games and prizes.

A bake sale, food concession and raffles will also take place throughout the day. So come support your local 4-H clubs, visit some cool animals, play some games, eat some great food, and prepare to have a blast at the Spring Fair and Day on the Farm!
