7 Visitors From Fremont Ticketed At Santa Cruz 7-Eleven

All seven were given $1,000 tickets for violating the shelter-in-place order.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Seven visitors from Fremont were ticketed in Santa Cruz this weekend after police spotted them hanging out at the 7-Eleven on Ocean Street, the Santa Cruz Police Department said.

Police said the visitors were violating the shelter-in-place order. Such an offense can come with a $1,000 ticket.

Police issued all seven visitors a ticket.

"If you are not from Santa Cruz and you put our community at risk, you will get a ticket," department spokesperson Joyce Blaschke said.
