A police drone subsequently located a motionless victim on a rock shelf about 50 feet below the cliff edge at the point of the cove, according to Cal Fire.

Two Santa Cruz firefighters were lowered by ropes to the rock shelf and found the man dead. His body was raised to the top of the bluff in a basket.
