Santa Cruz Man Arrested For Loaded Gun After Traffic Stop
This marks the third such arrest in recent days ...
Police arrested and booked a man Sunday in Scotts Valley on weapons offenses and for violating probation, police said.
Twenty-one year old Santa Cruz resident Evan Aubrey-Boyd Dixon was arrested after police stopped a vehicle on Bethany Drive at about 11 p.m., according to police.
Police said that when they searched the occupants of the vehicle they found Dixon concealing a loaded .38 Special revolver, a large fixed blade knife and disposable latex gloves.

Police said Dixon is associated with Norteno criminal street gangs.
An expired vehicle registration prompted the stop by police.
