Animal Shelter's New Benefit Shop Grand Opening
Benefit Shop proceeds help Santa Cruz County's animals and the animal shelter's progressive programs such as Planned Pethood.

From SCCAS: On Saturday, Sept. 8, the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter (SCCAS) will celebrate the grand re-opening of its new upscale resale store, the Benefit Shop.
Supervisor John Leopold and Animal Shelter staff will celebrate the move with refreshments, door prizes and great shopping to benefit Santa Cruz County’s animal in need! Benefit Shop proceeds help Santa Cruz County’s animals and the animal shelter’s progressive programs such as Planned Pethood, a free and low-cost spay/neuter program, and the Extra Mile Fund, which allows medical rehabilitation for animals beyond what our shelter budget permits.
The new Benefit Shop is located at 870 17th Ave., Santa Cruz. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. Staffed by volunteers, the Benefit Shop always provides something new for bargain and treasure hunters alike. The items in the Shop are constantly changing, so you never know what you might find!
