Assistant Director Health Services Director Named In Santa Cruz

Mimi Khin Hall has nearly two decades of experience as a public-sector health services administrator working to improve community health.

From Santa Cruz Co.: Santa Cruz County Health Services Director Giang Nguyen is pleased to announce Mimi Khin Hall as Assistant Director of Health Services. Hall has nearly two decades of experience as a public-sector health services administrator working to improve community health through innovation, strategic planning, meaningful collaborations and effective implementation of policy. As Director of Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency's Community Health Branch, Hall's responsibilities included public health accreditation, budget development and oversight, strategic planning and performance management, workforce development and collaborating with county and community partners to provide integrated services to the community.

“I’m confident that Ms. Hall will bring her talents, experience, energy, enthusiasm and integrity to HSA,” Nguyen said. “I am pleased to welcome her aboard.” Prior to Yolo County, Hall served 16 years in various administrative roles for the Plumas County Public Health Agency, including 10 years as the Director. She was highly regarded for her impact on Plumas County making it financially, organizationally and programmatically resilient. She is an officer of the County Health Executives Association of California and a contributor to the National Association of Counties, National Association of City and County Health Officials, the California State Association of Counties, California Health Care Foundation, the Rural Policy Research
Institute and more.

Ms. Hall has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and Master’s in Public Health from University of Hawaii at Manoa. She begins April 9.
