Attackers Leave Victim Lying In Roadway: Live Oak

LIVE OAK, CA — The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is looking for information about an alleged attack that left an injured male lying in the middle of 7th Avenue in Live Oak on Monday.

Witnesses told deputies the victim had been physically attacked by several people, who fled toward Harbor Cove, the sheriff's office reported.

"The male's injuries were significant enough that he was flown to a nearby trauma center for treatment," the sheriff's office said.

The victim's current condition is not immediately known.

The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information about the incident call the sheriff's patrol division at (831) 471-1121.
