Beach Boardwalk Is Hiring In Santa Cruz
Summer help is needed, and pay ranges from $11 to $14 per hour. Employees score perks, too, including discounts and shuttle rides.
SANTA CRUZ, CA – The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk needs help! And that's a good thing for those seeking seasonal employment.
Still hiring for its busy summer season, the Boardwalk has openings for such indoor and outdoor jobs as ride and game operators, buildings and grounds crew, parking attendants, uniform and linen services and food and guest services -- with the seasonal salaries starting at $11 to $14 per hour.
“Every summer we face the challenge of filling over 1,000 seasonal jobs,” said Boardwalk employment manager Carol Siegel. “We still have many positions to fill before July 4.”

The Boardwalk also offers many incentives for employees, including a free employee shuttle from Watsonville, discount Metro Bus tickets, discounts to other Bay Area parks and attractions, discounted movie passes, free bike lockers, flexible schedules, employee outings and parties and team sports tournaments, Boardwalk management said.
“We host many free employee-only events throughout the summer for employees to enjoy our rides, food and entertainment,” Siegel said. “Each year, employees tell us how much they enjoyed creating lifetime friendships and meeting people from all over the world at the Boardwalk.”

Job applicants can apply online or stop by the Boardwalk for an "Instant Interview" from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays in June. Instant Interview applicants will be rewarded with free parking and five free rides for their efforts.
