The practice is calm, focused, and often surprisingly still. Much of the work happens in semi-static positions where we slowly shuttle between subtle variations to organize posture, awaken specific muscles, and build elastic support throughout the body.</div> <div style="color: #111111; font-family: Montserrat; font-size: 17px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">From the outside, the shapes can resemble yoga poses or the poised strength of a classical Greek athlete statue. Inside the body, however, we are intentionally developing the aligned muscular coordination that supports healthy walking, running, and everyday movement.</div> <div style="color: #111111; font-family: Montserrat; font-size: 17px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Using spiral patterns, re-tensioning movements, and mid-range strength work, participants begin to rediscover the body’s natural ability to store and release energy like a spring while staying stable and aligned.</div> <div style="color: #111111; font-family: Montserrat; font-size: 17px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Along the way, Deb also shares insights into common movement patterns that often contribute to chronic pain and athletic injuries, helping participants develop a clearer understanding of their own bodies and expand their self-care toolkit for long-term resilience.</div> <div style="color: #111111; font-family: Montserrat; font-size: 17px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Class may include:</div>

A hands-on introduction to the instruments of sound ceremony.
Sound has long been a pathway into stillness, presence, and deeper awareness. Across cultures and traditions, instruments have been used to create spaces of listening, reflection, and connection.
Join Dallas McKenzie and Adron Beene, teachers in the Fall 2026 Ceremony of Sound course, for an intimate series introducing several of the foundational instruments used in sound ceremonies and contemplative sound practice.
Each gathering offers a hands-on introduction to the voice and character of several instruments, including:&nbsp;&nbsp; Handpans and Tongue Drums 4/4 1-2:30pm Didgeridoos 4/4 3-4:30 and 5/16 1-2:30pm Gongs 4/19 1-3 (There will be a Gong event 3:30-5pm)&nbsp; Native American Flutes&nbsp; 4/26 2-3:30pm&nbsp; Harmonium and Shruti&nbsp; 5/9 1-3pm&nbsp; Didgeridoos&nbsp; Repeat 5/16 1-2:30pm The Instruments You Will Experience Gongs Deep, resonant instruments capable of producing expansive sound landscapes that fill a room with vibration and tone.

Native American Flutes Breath-centered instruments known for their warm, expressive voice and intuitive playability. Handpans and Tongue Drums Meditative steel instruments that create flowing melodic patterns and calming rhythmic tones. Didgeridoos Ancient drone instruments whose deep grounding sound connects breath, rhythm, and earth resonance. Harmonium and Shruti Traditional drone and keyboard instruments used to support meditation, chanting, and sustained tonal soundscapes.
Participants will hear, explore, and gently begin working with these instruments while learning how they are used to create spaces of calm, reflection, and sound ceremony.
Dallas brings an intuitive connection to the earth-based and elemental qualities of sound, while Adron offers a perspective rooted in yogic awareness and contemplative listening. Together they create a welcoming environment where participants can explore sound in a grounded and approachable way.

A Hands-On Experience Because the experience is experiential, participants will have the opportunity to work directly with the instruments, ask questions, and begin discovering which instruments resonate most naturally with them.

Alchemy, Nervous System Reset &amp; Energetic Rebirth Under the luminous Flower Moon in Scorpio, this immersive sound bath invites you into a space of profound release, renewal, and inner transformation. Traditionally named for the abundance of blooming life in late spring, the Flower Moon symbolizes emergence—but in Scorpio, that emergence is born through depth, truth, and alchemy. This is a moon of shedding old layers, composting emotional residue, and allowing something more authentic to rise. Astrologically, this full moon illuminates the Scorpio–Taurus axis, the sacred polarity between depth and stability, transformation and grounding, the unseen and the tangible. The tones, rhythms, and harmonic layering used throughout the sound bath help guide the body out of sympathetic activation and into parasympathetic repair—where deep rest, processing, and cellular healing can occur. As a Reiki Master, Peggy simultaneously channels subtle energy to support biofield regulation, energetic clearing, and alignment. Reiki works beyond the physical body, interacting with the nervous system in a way that often enhances relaxation, reduces energetic congestion, and supports a sense of internal coherence. When combined with sound, this creates a synergistic effect—where vibrational frequencies and energy work together to gently unwind held tension, release what has been carried, and restore a sense of flow throughout the body and energetic field. A Pathway Into Deeper Study For many people, these introductory gatherings are simply an opportunity to explore an instrument that has been calling to them. For those who feel a deeper connection, these experiences may also serve as a doorway into our broader Ceremony of Sound program — a 100 hour structured path of study exploring sound, presence, and the art of holding space with instruments. The Ceremony of Sound course brings together tradition, intuitive listening, and contemplative practice to support those who feel called to share sound with others. Adron Beene is a sound ceremony facilitator and teacher whose work centers on the thoughtful and intentional use of gongs within immersive sound experiences. Drawing on classical music training and the Viniyoga tradition, his teaching emphasizes sequencing, harmonics, transitions, and attunement to group dynamics to support regulation, integration, and ease. He teaches gongs as the primary medium, with bowls, voice, harmonium, handpans, and flutes used in supportive roles. Adron was a co-teacher for the 2025 Fall Ceremony of Sound training and has offered workshops in Voice Optimization and Introduction to Gongs. It is the woman who gave you life - who carried you, shaped you, and offered you the particular gifts only she could give: her vision, her steadiness, her way of truly listening. It is the women who gathered around her, showing up in a thousand different ways - a job lead, a meal, a hug that arrived at exactly the right moment. And it is the love you pour into your own children, and all that you carry quietly on their behalf. In this sound healing, we gather in community to honor all of it. Through vocals and EarthTones crystal bowls, Paitra will guide us through a practice of deep gratitude and gentle release - celebrating the women who shaped us while creating space to set down what we have been carrying, so that we may offer our children the fullest version of ourselves. This session holds space for mothers, daughters, and anyone who has been mothered or has mothered in any form. Come ready to receive, to remember, and to be held by sound and by community. Paitra Houts is a graduate of the Ceremony of Sound training, through which she found her home in her voice, weaving vocals and EarthTones crystal bowls to help people reconnect with their inner wisdom. She founded Bay Area Sound Healing to offer people a space to release what is no longer theirs, reclaim what always has been, and walk forward in alignment with their highest self. From there, Dallas will share about her personal journey with the didgeridoo and how it became one of the most powerful bridges she has experienced; a doorway into inner wisdom, guidance, and the deeper rhythms of the soul. Next, we’ll explore the foundations of playing the instrument, including the basic drone, rhythmic pulsing, and a few fun sounds that begin to bring the didgeridoo to life. Dallas will also introduce the concept of circular breathing so you can begin to understand how the continuous flow of sound is created. For Dallas, the didgeridoo has been more than an instrument; it has been a portal, a bridge that helped guide her back home to her center, purpose, and the deeper rhythm of life itself. Whether you’re curious about the sound, drawn to the vibration, or simply feel called to explore something new, this class will offer a welcoming and playful space to begin your relationship with this powerful instrument. Dallas McKenzie has been gathering her tools over the last decade to bring a deeper connection and understanding between the inner and outer worlds. Music was the spark that started it all, the didgeridoo threading spirit and connection into her life in her late teens, bringing curiosity for what lies deeper. Starting her path at the Globe Institute of Sound Healing Sciences in San Francisco, she began to fall in love with the way vibration was so intricately woven into the body, mind, and spirit health. Breath was the fan to flames of this passion.
