Car Burglary Suspect Arrested In Santa Cruz County
BREAKING: Sheriff's officials said they identified six to eight victims of other burglaries from the items in the suspect's possession.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Santa Cruz County sheriff's officials said they arrested a 38-year-old man who broke into a vehicle at the Davenport Cove parking area Sunday night. At 8:20 p.m., a person visiting the North Coast area discovered his vehicle was broken into, according to sheriff's officials.
The victim confronted the suspect, Christopher Page, when he spotted Page going through his belongings in another vehicle. An argument ensued and Page ran from the scene. Santa Cruz County sheriff's Sgt. Shon Leonetti was nearby when the 911 call reporting the burglary came in, and he spotted Page. Leonetti and
the victim pursued Page, who was caught a short distance away, sheriff's officials said.
According to sheriff's officials, Page was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property and several other offenses. Sheriff's officials said they identified six to eight victims of other burglaries from the items in Page's possession.
