CHP: Help Find This Teen Who Paralyzed a Young Woman

The Aptos woman, 25, was hit while walking down a sidewalk. She has a one percent chance of ever walking again, according to doctors.

More than a week after she was mowed down on a sidewalk while walking hand-in-hand with a friend, Nicole Brown, 25, lies in a hospital bed with no feeling from the chest down. She can’t talk and doesn’t remember the horrific crash that put her here, but she’ll live with the consequences of that night for the rest of her life.

Nicole’s doctors have told her family that she has just a one percent chance of ever walking again. Meanwhile, the CHP today released a photo of the teen they say was behind the wheel of a Volvo SUV that launched her body 40 feet when it slammed into her.

Trevor Maddy, 17, was the driver, according to the CHP. They say he is actively ”avoiding arrest.”
