Join City Council for a study session to discuss state legislation for streamlining affordable housing development projects introduced by Senate Bill 35 (SB35), including the application process, the city's roles in review and approval, the community's role, and integration of the Density Bonus state law in these projects, and for the City Council to consider direction requiring a Public Oversight Meeting before the City Council for all future SB35 project applications that include Density Bonus requests and identifying the City Council as the final decision-making authority for density bonus decisions on SB35 projects to the extent feasible while remaining consistent with timelines established by state law.Â
Every effort will be made to post the agenda and meeting materials by Friday, September 3rd; however, state law allows agendas for special meetings to be posted no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting. Visit the City Council Agenda page for meeting materials and Zoom Meeting Information. Zoom Information including the meeting ID and call-in information is listed at the beginning of the agenda.Â
