Craft Beers Meet Boardwalk Food At 'Bites & Brews' In Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, CA – The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is planning its first event for beer fans, "Bites & Brews," on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bites & Brews pairs a wide selection of local craft beer with dozens of sample-size of such Boardwalk menu items as Corn Dog Bites, Lobster Tacos and Chipotle Chicken Wraps to Deep Fried Oreos and Chocolate Covered Bacon.

"We’re excited to highlight our area’s best craft beers and our park’s tastiest food." said Boardwalk event director Karley Pope. "We anticipate some epic pairings!"

Participating breweries include Discretion Brewing, East Cliff Brewing Company, Elkhorn Slough Brewing Company, New Bohemia Brewery, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, Uncommon Brewers, Shanty Shack Brewing, Steel Bonnet, Peter B’s Brewpub, Brewery Twenty-Five, Santa Cruz Cider Company, Soquel Cider and Santa Clara Valley Brewing.

The public can meet the brewers, sample a selection of craft beer and taste the Boardwalk's fun food. VIP Passports, which include an event T-shirt and trucker hat, may be ordered online or purchased at the event.
