Dancing in the Streets of Downtown Santa Cruz
Dance week events started Thursday at three places downtown. They continue with impromptu dances Saturday and free dance classes all next week.
Here's a list of some of the places you can catch dance events over the next week from Santa Cruz Good Times.
Thursday's stages ran all evening at Church Street at the Civic Auditorium, Center Street at City Hall and Church Street at the Library.
Saturday you can catch dances by Santa Cruz Sambistas at 11:30 a.m. in front of Trader Joe's; Te Hau Nui at 5 p.m. at Hula's at 221 Cathcart St. and by Santa Cruz Tango at 6:20 p.m. at the Museum of Art and History, 750 Front St.

On Sunday at 11 a.m. and noon, you can see Furst Meating with Tyler Wardwell and dancers at the Cooper House breezeway, 110 Cooper St. and by the Yabas Dance Company at 4:30 p.m. in the same location.
