Deputies Rescue Wayward Pig In Boulder Creek
Police fashioned a leash to help keep Pickles safe until she could be reunited with her family.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Deputies in Santa Cruz County recently rescued a wayward pig found wandering around Boulder Creek. The animal, later identified as Pickles, somehow escaped from her home nearby.
Deputies created a leash to help keep Pickles safe from traffic until she could be reunited with her family. Residents in the area familiar with the pig, who clearly has a penchant for wandering off, helped direct deputies to her residence, according to a post on the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
The unlikely celebrity has been spotted throughout Santa Cruz County on several occasions, according to the Facebook comments from locals.
