Deputies Use Game Cameras To Curtail Illegal Dumping

Authorities said dumping trash is not only illegal but poses an "environmental risk."

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Deputies in Santa Cruz County are using game cameras as part of an effort to identify people illegally dumping trash. In the wake of resident complaints, investigators are working to identify the source of the ongoing illegal dumping reported throughout the county.

Authorities said dumping trash is not only illegal but poses an “environmental risk.” Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 831-471-1121.
