Disposable Cup Fee Delayed In Santa Cruz County: Report
More than 400 businesses in unincorporated parts of the county will not be subject to the fee until 2021, the Santa Cruz Sentinel reported.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Customers at more than 430 businesses in unincorporated Santa Cruz County will no longer have to start fronting a 25-cent disposable cup fee this month, the Santa Cruz Sentinel reported.
The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors decided this week that disposable cup fee be temporarily pushed back to January 2021, though the board could re-evaluate in the fall, the newspaper reported.
The move was in response to COVID-19-related sanitation restrictions, the Sentinel reported.
