Dominican Hospital Joins New CA Health Care Provider Network

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Dignity Health Domincan Hospital is now part of the Sutter Health Plus network. The agreement between healthcare provider system Dignity Health and Sutter Health Plus went into effect in 2020.

In Santa Cruz County, Sutter Health Plus's network includes Sutter Maternity & Surgery Center, Watsonville Community Hospital, and Palo Alto Medical Foundation and associated care centers, according to a press release.

The agreement offers more options to Santa Cruz County patients in the Sutter Health Plus network, said CEO Brian Fellner in the press release.

In all, Sutter Health Plus's network includes 30 hospitals and campuses, 8,000 providers and dozens of urgent care centers — including the newly opened Aptos walk-in care facility. Two other Dignity Health facilities are in the Sutter Health Plus network: Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City and St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton.

Dominican Hospital has served Santa Cruz County for more than 75 years, according to the press release.
