DUI Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Santa Cruz Police Vehicle
Yesenia Pavez, 27, was arrested around 3:40 a.m. Monday at West Cliffe Drive and Merced Street.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — A woman who was allegedly driving under the influence early Monday in Santa Cruz was nabbed after she crashed her minivan into a police vehicle.
Yesenia Pavez, 27, was arrested around 3:40 a.m. after she rear-ended a Santa Cruz Police Department patrol SUV on West Cliffe Drive and Merced Street, police said.
The SUV was parked and unoccupied as officers were responding to a call for service, according to police.

Pavez was arrested on suspicion of DUI and her vehicle was towed. There were no injuries reported.
