Neenel has been practicing yoga for eight years and is currently available at the Santa Cruz Integrative Medicine & Chi Center. In 2010, she traveled to India where she studied with several Vedic masters, researching and practicing ancient stress management techniques. She holds an international Yoga Alliance certificate from Kialash Tribal Yoga School in Dharmsala India. She is also a skilled gardener and sustainable food activist with a BA from UCSC in Community Studies: Ag Food and Social Justice.
Class Info: Community Yoga is regularly offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-1030am at TCDG. $8-15

In our first session, learn how to safely use and maintain drills, drivers, saws and other tools necessary for those exciting projects you have planned for this summer! In later sessions, Jay will show you how to "build-your-own" veggie box with salvaged materials using your new skills. No experience, tools or materials are needed to participate in the class, just a willingness to learn and have a good time! Bring water, gloves and sun protection.
Class Info: May 14th, 15th, 21st and 28th from 12-3pm all four days. This valuable reskilling class is only $40 for the four-class series or $15 for drop-in students.

Learn the basics of seed propagation, transplanting, companion planting, plant guilds food forests AND the importance of seed saving and preserving the harvest. Roxanne is a former organic farm worker (Molino Creek Farming Collective, Offerings of the Land) who, nearly 20 years ago, helped establish a 14-acre organic farm that is still in existence (Sweetwater Farms). A local ecological landscape designer and horticultural consultant who teaches on a variety of subjects, Roxanne is also the founder of and lead facilitator at TCDG which has propagated and sold it's own plants since 2008. Roxanne and TCDG both specialize in Edibles and perennial CA Natives. TCDG plants can be found under the "Gnome-Grown" label.
Class Info: $5-15. TCDG WILL DONATE FREE SEEDS AND CONTAINERS to any and all guests at our garden and attendees of this workshop, limited to stock on hand. If you'd like to take home a lot of seeds (plus containers), basically all you need to start a backyard urban garden this season, we'll let you do that all for the low, low price of $25. Limited to stock on hand, of course. We have HUNDREDS OF SEEDS AVAILABLE!
