You are invited to join PhD students Rachel Wheat and Yiwei Wang on a photographic journey exploring the landscape and wildlife of South-eastern Alaska. They will talk about the importance of salmon to the Alaskan ecosystem and show videos from motion detecting cameras of bald eagles congregating and feeding along rivers. They will also discuss their upcoming research project this fall to study the movements of these bald eagles with GPS tags. You are welcome to enjoy some complimentary light refreshments and socialize with the speakers in the first half hour of the event. For more information, please visit Ecologyalaska.blogspot.com. See you there!
