Backyard Chickens and Ducks

On Saturday, March 12th learn to raise and care for chickens and other poultry in an urban environment at UCSC's Backyard Chicken and Ducks workshop. Taught by Urban Eggs and Dinner Bell Farm founders Paul Glowaski and Cooper Funk, this workshop covers the basics of tending small flocks in town, including coop designs, breeds, and disease and predator control. Be sure to wear warm clothes and bring a snack. This event is open to the public and sponsored by Friends of the Farm and Garden and the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems
