Charles Durrett is the pioneer of cohousing in the United States, an international cohousing expert, author of Creating Cohousing, Building Sustainable Communities, Senior Cohousing, A Community Approach to Independent Living and an award winning architect of over 50 cohousing communities.  He will be leading a Cohousing slide show presentation (September 14 – 7:00 pm at MAH in downtown Santa Cruz) where the principals, distinctions and advantages of cohousing will be described by one of the nations true experts.

Walnut Commons, a group of Santa Cruz locals consisting of artists, professionals and retirees, has just closed escrow on a site at the corner of Walnut and Center in downtown Santa Cruz and is proposing to build an urban multi-generational cohousing project.
