Survivors Healing Center’s (SHC) primary goals are to empower those victimized by sexual abuse through a healing process and to prevent sexual abuse of children and youth in our community. SHC is partnering with Kidpower-Teenpower-Fullpower to lead a healthy boundary-setting workshop for survivors of sexual assault. SHC welcomes everyone to a safe and supportive healing environment. Goals of the workshop are to learn to address the emotional triggers that get in the way of healthy boundary-setting, learn to advocate for what you want and what you do not want in a powerful and respectful way, learn to de-escalate threatening or upsetting confrontations, learn to address common negative reactions to boundaries and practice these skills in a safe, warm and interactive environment. The workshop will be held on Saturday May 21, 2011 from 2 PM to 4 PM.
