Hummingbird Days

Hummingbird Days! are Saturday and Sunday, March 3rd and 4th.  This year we even have some preliminary events on Friday, March 2.  This annual favorite invites the public to join the fun at this celebration of the hummingbirds that feed, mate, and nest in our gardens.  Experts in both bird and plant life will be on hand to give lectures and tours.  There is plenty to do for children and adults alike.  There are General Bird Tours, Children's Activities, and Hummingbird Plant Tours.  A photography exhibit by Brent Jensen, Cruz N Gourmet food, and hummingbird t-shirts are new to the event this year.  Admission is $5 for adults.  The event is Free for those 17 and under, UCSC students with their UCSC ID, and Arboretum members with their membership cards.

The Arboretum website has details on tour and activity times: http://arboretum.ucsc.edu
