LEARN HOW TO CARE FOR PLANTS

On Tuesday, November 20, 2012, 7 PM, at the Live Oak Senior Center, 1777 Capitola Road, Santa Cruz, the Monterey Bay Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will host a program on the care of rhododendrons and other plants and how to combat the challenges to your plants so that your plants will be spectacular.  Featured will be Allan Korth (a nurseryman and hybridizer who lives in Soquel), Nancy Ledyard (a rhododendron grower, hybridizer, and original member of the Monterey Bay Chapter who lives in Aptos), Jerry Harris (an original member of the Monterey Bay Chapter who lives in Ben Lomond and is noted for his deciduous azalea hybrids), and Mike McCullough (a long time member who is knowledgeable on rhododendron growing, Rhododendron occidentale, Maddenii Series rhododendrons, and Vireya Series rhododendrons).
