Introduction to EAGLE, the free PCB design tool
From the electronic circuit diagram design to a finished, mounted printed circuit boards. EAGLE, an acronym that stands for Easily Applicable Graphical Layout Editor, is a free PCB design tool from Cadsoft.de for creating circuit diagrams and laying them out into a printed circuit board. EAGLE is certainly the best of the “low cost” solutions for PCB development and provides professional results for small to medium sized projects. The instructor will show you the steps through the various processes from selecting components, making nice schematics to the layout process, design rule check and Gerber file creating for manufacturing. You will learn how to create bill of material lists and the programming files for the SMD pick and place machines. The instructor will spend some time on creating the EAGLE libraries for your project, when components are not designed for EAGLE yet.
