Makin' It Big

Come learn the techniques of making large sculpture with just clay!
We will be going through a variety of techniques, employing one, or
several, that each student is most comfortable with to build at  least one large sculpture during the course of the class.
Experience with clay is a must.  It is advised that you’ve had hand-building or throwing classes before and have the patience for  construction with a pliable material.

This is a morning class that meets during the week, so if you can  fit it into your schedule, this will be a great opportunity to take  some time for yourself and get more comfortable with clay!  Local  ceramics artist Jennifer Hennig, who has taught ceramics classes  locally and sold her work throughout the country for over 15 years,
will teach this class. The class meets 3 times per week, on Monday,  Wednesday & Friday, for 3 hours each session, for a period of 3  weeks. After 2 weeks, we will take a week off for drying and firing  and continue the following week for glazing.  Students purchase clay  from the Art Center. Let’s make it big!
