New Docent Orientation

Do you love ecology, history, or storytelling? Do you want to connect people with nature? Become a Docent for the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History - the little Museum with a great big presence! We give quality educational programs to thousands of youth every year in our Museum and on local wild lands. Come learn all about our various Docent opportunities. Whether you’re in the field teaching restoration or in the Museum reading stories to children, we have a program to fit your interests. *Docent training runs from September 10 through October 1 and includes these optional trainings:

9/15  |  10am-1pm:  Hosting and “On the Spot” Training

9/17  |  10am-1pm: Ohlone Training

9/24  |  10am-1pm: Neary Lagoon Program Training

9/27  |  3pm-5pm: Storytime Training

10/1  |  10am-1pm: Sandhills Exploration Program Training
