Vai Campbell, from the Soquel Creek Water District will provide a digital tour of the new website, Water-Smart Gardening in Santa Cruz County. The website includes locally photographed images of successful and drought-tolerant gardens, as well as extensive information about best practices for environmentally-friendly gardening and landscaping. The multi-layer plant search tool helps you find the right plant for the place. The plant details provide full color photos and information about the plants and can be organized in a list by hydro-zones so you can group plants with similar water needs. The new website is available on-line as well as on compact discs (CD), free copies and other goodies will be available. Ages 16 and up. Sign up in advance by calling 831-335-9348.
