Wilder Ranch Spring Garden Planting Day

On Saturday, April 30 from 11:00am to 3pm, you can plant a seed for Earth Day at Wilder Ranch State Park. You’ll get your hands dirty while helping plant a little history in the Wilder Ranch Heirloom Garden. Ranch Hands of all ages are welcome. Children can plant and bring home their own sunflower or heirloom bean. There will be living history demonstrations, composting information, and refreshments.

The garden is part of the circa 1900 dairy ranch atmosphere of the park. Bring yourself, your family, your friends, plus a pair of gardening gloves if you have them. Tools and seeds will be provided. The event is held on the grounds of the Wilder Ranch Cultural Preserve at beautiful, historic Wilder Ranch State Park. For more information, call 831-426-0505. Wilder Ranch is located two miles north of Santa Cruz, on Highway 1.
