Press release from the County of Santa Cruz:

Aug. 9, 2020

The County of Santa Cruz is pleased to announce a custom face covering sign for use throughout Santa Cruz County during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Face coverings are one of the most effective ways to reduce the spread of the virus in the community. Recommended by both the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control, Santa Cruz County residents must wear face coverings in most indoor settings or while engaging with others outdoors. Numerous studies show masks significantly reduce the amount of respiratory viruses emitted in droplets and aerosols, and some studies also show that mask can help protect the wearer by reducing virus intake.
