SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — An early morning burglary Thursday at Family Cycling Center in Santa Cruz has resulted in two arrests, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office reported.

Kevin Devlin, 36, of San Carlos and Marcell Clark, 35, of Santa Clara were both taken into custody Thursday after an alert citizen tipped deputies to the 6:30 a.m. break-in at the 41st Avenue bike shop.

The citizen watched the men bust into the shop and make off with six mountain bikes worth more than $30,000, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies were called and spotted the suspects fleeing the area in a rental van, which led to a high-speed chase into Aptos, the sheriff's office said.
