Fatal Stabbing: Grandson Accused Of Grandfather's Slaying
The attack occurred Tuesday evening, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A man was arrested Tuesday in Santa Cruz on suspicion of fatally stabbing his grandfather at home, the sheriff's office said.
Phillip Talyansky, 28, was arrested on suspicion of murder, elder abuse resulting in serious injury or death, and battery, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies and paramedics were called to the 700 block of Heath Cove around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday after a caller reported a person with an injury and dispatchers heard a disturbance in the background, said Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Sgt. Steve Ryan.

They found a man, 80, had been stabbed in the neck, the sheriff's office said. The man was pronounced dead at Dominican Hospital.
Talyansky did not call 911, but also lived at the home with his grandparents and mother, Ryan said.

He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail Wednesday, jail records show.
A search warrant was underway Wednesday afternoon to look for the weapon, Ryan said, adding deputies were confident they would find it.
