Flash Flood Watch In Effect for Santa Cruz
BREAKING: Officials ask residents in low-lying areas to prepare for flooding.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — City officials are warning Santa Cruz residents who live in low-lying areas to prepare for localized flooding. A flash flood watch is in effect through Friday, according to Santa Cruz police.
“The City advises all residents to stay alert and use caution near moving water,” officials said in a statement. "Community members in the Beach Flats, the Tannery, Paradise Park, areas near the San Lorenzo River Levee, and in other flood-prone areas are advised to move persons, pets and automobiles to higher ground."
