Get Financial Help After The CZU, LNU, SCU Lightning Complex
Tzu Chi's Northwest Region is providing emergency financial aid as a direct result of the CZU, LNU, and SCU Lightning Complex Fires.
Press release from the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation: Thousands of residents have been left displaced or homeless as a direct result of California wildfires. At the same time, the COVID-19 pandemic has added further stress to impacted individuals. To help, Tzu Chi’s Northwest Region is providing emergency financial aid as a direct result of the CZU, LNU, and SCU Lightning Complex Fires.
To qualify, an individual's home must have incurred major damage as a direct result of the above lightning fires, and he/she/they must have a valid photo ID and proof of residence. Registration must also be made online by midnight, September 30 or earlier at https://tzuchi.us/events/2020-northern-california-wildfire-relief. Registrants may also contact our help hotline at 408-256-0571 or email us at relief-nc@tzuchi.us. After enrollment, applicants will receive additional instructions as to how to proceed forward.
Tzu Chi Northwest has already begun providing immediate relief with the provision of eco-blankets and face masks, and has previously offered disaster recovery after the Camp, Carr, Mendocino Complex, and Tubbs Fires. Tzu Chi Northwest, with its headquarters in San Jose, CA, is one of the 9 regions of Tzu Chi USA, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassion and relief through disaster aid, charity, medicine, education, and more.
