Girl Missing From Santa Cruz Co. Last Reported Seen At Art Center

Santa Cruz police today are still searching for an 8-year-old girl who went missing from a live-work art studio on Sunday evening.
Madyson “Maddy” Middleton was reported missing at 6:08 p.m. at the Tannery Arts Center at 1030 River St.
Maddy was last seen shortly after 5 p.m. riding a white foot-propelled scooter while wearing a purple knee-high dress with black leggings, a black helmet and long hair pulled to the side in a braid, police said. Santa Cruz police flooded the neighborhoods around the arts center, including woodland areas, parks and the river levee, in an attempt to find the girl, who remained missing as of this morning.

Maddy is described as a white girl who is 4 feet tall and weighs 48 pounds. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to call 911, according to police.
