Winner of Ashoka Changemaker’s “Building Vibrant Communities Award”, Rising International is a local nonprofit organization that has revolutionized the home party business model. Think Avon or Tupperware for a social cause. We search the globe for the world’s most forgotten women and sell their beautiful boutique quality products at home parties and corporate events in the Bay Area. In addition, we train economically vulnerable women and teens in the Bay Area to be Rising Representatives, and run their own Rising Home Party businesses. It’s a win-win. The more our local entrepreneurs prosper, the more they change the world! And there is one vital ingredient to their success...YOU! To help these local women rise out of their current circumstance, we match them with a Rising Mentor to be their coach and support system as they develop their confidence, reclaim their personal power and gain the business skills necessary to become a social entrepreneur running their own Rising Business.
This is a wonderful opportunity to use your talents to inspire and champion women and girls right in our own community. As a Rising Mentor, you share your professional experience with a small group of local Rising Representatives, providing motivation and coaching on business skills and personal development.
Suggested time commitment is 3 months and you’ll find that just 1 to 3 hours a week can dramatically change lives. Direct sales or home party business experience is a plus!
