SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Reports of gunfire Monday near 25th Avenue in Live Oak is under investigation by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office received a report of gunfire in the area around 12:13 p.m., according to sheriff's Sgt. Brian Cleveland.
At press time deputies have detained several people for questioning, and 25th Avenue and East Cliff Drive are both closed.

Deputies determined there were no injuries during the alleged incident, and there is no threat to public safety, Cleveland said.
