Child Injured During Hit-And-Run, Motorcyclist Sought
BREAKING: The child was walking with his mother in a crosswalk when he was hit, police said.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a motorcyclist who struck, and injured a boy who was walking with his mother in a Santa Cruz crosswalk earlier this month. Police officials said cars along Mission Street and Van Ness Avenue stopped to allow the mother and her child to cross the street on April 9. The motorcyclist, who was splitting lanes, allegedly hit the boy and fled the area at a high rate of speed.
The child was taken to a Bay Area Trauma unit for treatment of injuries that are not life threatening, according to police.
