Holiday Closure In Santa Cruz: December 18 - January 4, 2021

The Planning & Community Development department will be closed beginning December 18th through January 4, 2021. Telephone service will be available periodically throughout the closure for all services. For life-safety emergencies, dial 9-1-1. Payments, Planning Application and Permit Submittal services will resume on January 4, 2021. Please shelter-in-place and do not drop off new submittals during the holiday closure.

• Building Inspections: During the closure, limited inspections are available on the following dates provided the request is made prior to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
  • Monday Dec 21 & Tuesday Dec 22, 2020
  • Tuesday Dec 29 & Wednesday Dec 30, 2020

Please coordinate these requested inspections in advance (by 12/16) with Senior Building Inspector Larry Riordan at (831) 420-5122.

• Building Permit Plan Review: By appointment ONLY during the holiday closure. You may contact Supervising Plans Examiner John Gervasoni at (831) 420-5119 or Senior Plans Examiner John McLucas, P.E., S.E at (831) 420-5413.
