Introduction to Video Game Design

Our Video Game Design Class for adults includes a rigorous curriculum with an emphasis on design and polish. Students gain valuable skills using GameMaker Studio, one of the most popular game design software suites, which will establish a solid foundation in programming and design skills. Students work from a “template” game which changes and updates every several months so that students can design games in a variety of genres. This session’s template game is Space Shooter, a scrolling shoot-em-up similar to classic arcade games like Gradius and Raiden.

Time: Tues and Thurs. 6 weeks. 6-7:30
