Man Accused Of Possessing Stolen Checks In Santa Cruz Co.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A man was recently arrested in Santa Cruz County during a security check of the Emeline Government Complex, sheriff’s office officials said. Richard Crocker was on the property and in possession of three stolen checks and narcotics, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office said the checks were likely stolen from a resident's mailbox. Authorities said the arrest is a good reminder to residents to check mail regularly, consider a post office box or security mailbox to thwart would-be thieves.
