Man Found Dead In Truck In Santa Cruz County
The vehicle was in a parking lot in an Aptos shopping center.
APTOS, CA — A 68-year-old man was found dead in a vehicle in the parking lot of a shopping center in the Aptos area of Santa Cruz County early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man, an Aptos resident, was found after CHP officers and county sheriff's deputies responded around 3:15 a.m. to a report of an unconscious man in a red 1998 Toyota Tacoma in the Rancho Del Mar Shopping Center off of Soquel Drive.
Authorities tried life-saving efforts before pronouncing the man dead at the scene. His name was not immediately available.

The cause of the man's death is under investigation, CHP officials said.
